A new day, a new month, a new year, a new decade

Happy 2010!

I did not stay up for the ball drop. I almost never do. And when I do stay up, it goes something like this.

"3... 2... 1... Happy New Year!" *turns off TV and goes to bed*

I found I prefer my sleep to celebrating the turning of the calendar.

Stair skiing in the New Year

Well, I just managed to slide down the stairs. Only injuries are that I scraped my knuckles and broke a nail. Just jittery from the adrenaline. I'm sure that I'll feel any bruises tomorrow though.

I think I'll wait till I stop shaking before I go back upstairs and do some more cleaning.

Annoying story cliches

You know, just once, I'd like the scene where the two main love interests meet because one of them shows up mysteriously naked to be a little more realistic. Kind of like this.

( Because really, seeing someone naked does not make you instantly trust them and/or fall in love especially when they wind up in your house/apartment/encampment with no explanation. )
