So much for that
Monday, December 15th, 2008 08:04 pmGah, I am so tired. Do not think that I'll get any writing done. I didn't sleep well last night and it all caught up to me at once.
silverthunder, I got your card. Thank you!
skuldchan, I got your card as well. Thank you!
I also got a card from my sister and her husband. Not only did it have a picture of them, but it also came with a great picture of me with their English bulldog Charles. I am amused.

We shall overcome!
Monday, December 15th, 2008 02:48 pmI have two more Christmas cards to write and then I shall be DONE!
I have also already found out one of my grades for class. I got an A in statistics, meaning that my GPA for my graduate program continues to be a 4.0 (meaning I've got the highest marks you can get for all the classes I've taken in my program, for those who don't know the US's grading system). Since I do not expect to get anything but an A in Adv. Remote Sensing and all I have left is thesis, I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep that GPA.
I have no idea if my university will put summa cum laude on my degree. I know I graduated magna cum laude with my undergrad.
Also, I just had to share this paragraph from the Wikipedia article on honors:
I don't know about you, but I would absolutely love to graduate with hysterical praise. XD

Also, I just had to share this paragraph from the Wikipedia article on honors:
A fourth distinction, egregia cum laude, "with outstanding praise", has occasionally appeared: it was created to recognize students who earned the same grade point average required for the summa honor, but did so while pursuing a more rigorous honors curriculum. One of Fordham University's student newspapers translated this as "with hysterical praise", and so the university dropped the distinction and awards such degrees with summa honors, and a notation In cursu honorum, "in the honors course". This latter notation is used by some other schools as well.

Also, I've already thanked
Thank you!
