Irony is the Shackles of Youth

So... in the interest of being entertained, I started reading fanfics with werewolves. Mostly in the Supernatural, Harry Potter, and Sherlock fandoms. I have to say this, fanfic authors definitely come up with more interesting ideas than a lot of the m/m ebook writers. They don't always write any better (and most times worse), but at least it's not the same two plots that most werewolf ebooks use: alpha falls for abused beta or solitary alpha finds unexpected mate and lots of sex occurs.

( Then there was horror. Absolute horror. )

My brain.

- Good friends will answer the phone and when you say, before saying anything else, "Not even chibi-Dean is worth an entire pack of creepy fucking kids" will not only know who you are and what you are talking about but will assure you that the next episode is much better. (Hi shoiryu!)

- Good friends will also call you when they hear that tornados went through the city you live in (they hit the far side of the city from us, so we were fine) just to make sure you all right. (Hi lighthawk!)

In other news, I had forgotten what it's like when a fandom just totally eats your brain and will not let up with the story ideas. That's kind of where I am right now with Young Avengers. It's been a while since I have felt the thrill of being able to inflict a captive audience with my fanfics. It should not please me this much.

Last night, I had a dream where Dean and Sam had died. Only they were then reincarnated as incestuous redneck hill-billies who were running from the police in a cherry red pick-up truck with a CB antenna large enough to be a hazard to low flying planes. I don't remember why they were running from the police - something to do with a robbery and possibly shooting someone. All I know is that they were taunting the police with clues of where they were heading next written on pages torn out of a Death Note. They had no idea what the Death Note was good for.

I told miome about it this morning. "That would really suck. Can you imagine? 'Dear Officer Gordan...' and miles away, officer Gordan has a heart attack and dies."

XD
