One nice thing about being stuck at the airport: it gives me time to write. I have already done some mild editing on the earlier parts in my word document. Man, I need to beat this thing with an editing stick something awful. I also am going to need a big ol' can of plot hole spackle. None of the holes are too bad, but I can definitely tell I started writing this with no idea of where it was going or any plan on how to make things make sense.

First section for the story I'm writing in response to the poll I did when I traveled to Seattle. Just to give you a taste of what's to come now that I've finally, finally moved all my stories onto the Netbook.

I'm transcribing out of my notebooks so I can finally get rid of some of them. Otherwise I'll cart these around forever. Today, I have transcribed a bit of Young Avengers AU. I think this was eventually going to be House of M, but I'm not 100% on that.

One notebook down, about a dozen or so more to go. Maybe I'll fish out one of the HS or undergrad notebooks next.

Since I didn't write yesterday, I'm trying to write extra today to catch up. I'm already behind still from family reunion. I'd like to say I'll catch up over Thanksgiving, but I know better. even if I don't quite make my quota, I'm at least writing quite a bit.

I think it's sad that instead of finishing the first series of stories for Ritter, I'm working on the second series. Sigh.

Part of the inspiration for this story is from maderr's story of the draugr. I'd never heard of them before. Of course, this means I have to do some additional reading. While doing some research on them, I came across two sentences in the wikipedia article on them:

"Draugr are noted, as well, for having the ability to enter into the dreams of the living"

"Among the creatures that a draugr may turn into are... a grey horse with no ears or tail and a broken back"

And as such, a nightmare was born. :D

Man, I should not continue to think the terrible, temporary title for this piece is hysterically funny. And yet, I do. Later scene for what I'd posted previously since I'm working out the kinks in the plot that comes before this scene. Also, it's the only "complete" piece I've managed to write in awhile. Everything else has been 1-2 pages added to other in progress stories.

Totally unreviewed for grammar/spelling. I'll probably rewrite it when I get to it's place in the story to make it fit better. But this is the initial draft of the scene.

Also, I have the worse time with quotation marks when typing this up. I have no idea. If you see quotation marks missing or appearing where they shouldn't, let me know so I can fix it.

Note to self: at some point you'll need to work into the story why it's so important for Billy get over his fear of being bitten. If you can't work it into the next part, then definitely the part after that. Maybe in a short scene with Tommy?

In an effort to get skylark97 to write more on her awesome new WIP, I have written a little bit of story set in the same world.

Four more drabbles in the Feral Wolf series. Two from the first story and two about Gene and Jesse's first batch of adopted kids.

Still working on them. I'm going to do a few more that fit into the first story before calling that done and then hopefully, do some more about them adopting the kids. They wind up with quite a brood in the end.

Finally sat down at put in order all the werewolf bits I've written about Jesse and Gene. I also gave it a title. Go me! I'm at 14 pages and over 5,000 words. Still think there might be a few holes in the plot. Here's the story as it stands right now.
