Irony is the Shackles of Youth

I have been wanting to write something for the last three weeks, and every time I open a document my brain flits to another story. So here's the deal. You give me an idea for some AU (pick one of my orginal stories, or some fandom I am/use to be involved in) and I will write a scene from it. I don't feel like starting anything long and involved, but man, if I don't write something this weekend, my head will explode.

Wow. Most of my first lines suck. I really had to dig to find ones that I thought people could work with. Strangely enough, all of these first lines come from fanfiction I've started/written. I just couldn't find any in my original stuff that I liked. Now I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Nickname(s): Cat!, Nadia-chan
Birthday: 1997... I think
Origins: Adopted from a no kill rescue. She and her sister were found in someone's attic and they were the only two of the litter to survive
Breed/coloring: Domestic shorthair/Tortoiseshell
Distinguishing features: Standard tortie except she's small (around 6lbs)
Favorite food: Anything you put in front of her. She's the kitty vaccuum cleaner
Favorite sleeping position and spot: Any plastic bag on the floor
Enemies: None
Bad habit: Eating too much, too fast and then proceeding to puke it back up on the carpet -_-
Most anthropomorphic trait: She will complain at me if the litter box is not up to her specifications. She has a distinctive meow for it.
Other strangeness: She knows my routine in the morning and at specific points in it (when I open the bathroom door, when I pick out socks, etc.) she will demand to be petted. If I'm not at that point in the routine, she wants nothing to do with me.

Distinguishing features: She is poofy. Seriously, she's a long haired tortie.
Favorite food: Unlike her sister, she will sniff a treat to death before she eats it. So I don't think she has a particular favorite
Favorite sleeping position and spot: Back of the chair.
Enemies: None
Bad habit: The constant, unending whining for attention. She has the whiniest meow I have ever heard on a cat
Most anthropomorphic trait: Will talk at you if you talk at her. You can have conversations with her.
Other strangeness: She's allergic to fleas. So if she gets them, she over grooms everywhere she can reach, leaving her head very fluffy and the rest of her... not so much.

1. I don't like red M&M's. This is purely psychological on my part because all M&M's taste the same. Doesn't matter though. I will eat the red M&M's last in the hopes that my chocolate craving will be satisfied before I'm down to only red M&M's. As a side note, I think the blue M&M's look like smurf turds and that creeps me out. Granted they replaced the light brown M&M's, which looked like hamster turds. It says something about me that I prefer to eat something that resembles hamster turds as opposed to smurf turds, though I'm not sure what.

2. I uncovered a dark family secret once by doing High School science assignment. (I've talked about this before on my LJ, which is why I won't go into great length here. If I get enough inquiries, I can go into it again or find the original post).

3. When I was five, I read a dictionary. Seriously.

4. When I was young, I always hated the "choose your own adventure" books because you couldn't read them straight through. I was stubborn and tried, but it didn't work. I never liked the fact that I might possibly be missing part of the plot. I would always try to see how the various choices ended. Once I'd found the "right" choice, I would flip through trying to see if I missed any of the endings. I was particularly peeved when I'd make a "logical" choice and wind up dead in some inane way. I still dislike those types of books.

5. I cross both of my pinkies and both of my toes when I really get into a book. It's comfortable for me. It has the added bonus of driving my mom crazy.

6. I am too liberal to be considered a Republican and too conservative to be considered a Democrat. Disorganization ticks me off (there got the Libertarian party) and incompetence pisses me off even more (good-bye most other Independent parties). This is one of the many reasons I don't discuss politics.

7. About four years ago, I interviewed (twice) and was offered a position at an on-line adult entertainment company. I turned down the job because they weren't paying enough. The best part of the process was signing a waiver acknowledging that I might see "material of a sexual nature" while at their offices and that I wasn't going to sue them for it. I was very disappointed that I didn't ever see anything that merited this waiver.
