Whee! Ouch.
Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 02:53 pmToday I experienced a phenomenon I like to refer to "stair surfing." I'll be calmly going down a set of stairs and for whatever reason, my foot will slip. I then proceeded to slide down the stair like I am a surfer on a surfboard, though I've never seen a surfer wind up laying on their back which is how I usually wind up when I take a slide down the stairs. Eventually, friction wins out and I slow to a stop. This is helped by the fact that my first instinct is to grab the handrail and never let go, Jack. Never let go.
I got nothing more than a nice adrenaline rush and a bruised thumb out of the whole ordeal. Still, it's not something I need a repeat of. Note to self: when it rains, be extra careful of the stairs in the science building.
At least this time, I wasn't carrying a vacuum cleaner.
In other news, I made rosemary lamb chops last night. Since the entire process took too long to have for dinner, they were eaten for lunch. Oh my... so very good. Will definitely make again. Even if it is a pain in the butt to juice the oranges (or tangelos in this case) myself.
Fun fact: the Tsaiko cannot drink store bought orange juice without getting very sick. This eliminates most punches, smoothies, and mixed drinks from her diet (not that I'm a big alcohol fan anyway).

sugahlei wrote me Naruto fic as a very belated or early birthday gift. I seriously had to put my head down on the desk and laugh at some of the lines. The line "‘Is he gay for my fox?!’" is still the best damn unintentional use of a euphemism by a character EVER.
