I have just found my theme song.

My apartment is packed with 30 minutes to spare.

Now to move the sofa and chair to make sure there's nothing underneath them.

There are times when I absolutely love DC. miome and I are going to find a way to go to Perry's Drag Queen Brunch within the next couple of months. WE WILL MAKE IT SO. Even if it is a bit pricey. TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Well, I did not have to pay to get my replacement building access card. WIN! I think this is mostly because of my story of the card eating toilet was received (with hysterical laughter). At least there is a plus to this whole thing.

I went into work early this morning because the power went out at my apartment. On the walk to work, I noticed that there were firetrucks and firefighters all over the electrical substation. This would be the substation that they are currently doing construction on. I guess someone hit something they weren't supposed to.

In excellent news, I not only got a raise at my new job, I also found out today that I got a bonus. I feel awesome!

True fact: color infrared photography was developed to allow American analysts to distinguish between real vegetation and camouflage ("fake vegetation") in aerial photographs during WWII. Why was this so important? Because the Americans figured that if they could do stuff like this so could their enemies.

Thesis has been submitted to the library. Once it is approved, I can print out the copies I need and take them to the bindery. At which point, in seven days when the bindery delivers them, I will be done with my Master's degree.

I got a call about a phone interview in the DC area while at lunch. Going to return that as soon as I get done with the maps for my part time job.

Even better, I got the comments back on the final draft of my thesis a whole week early from the final committee member. I am glad I was sitting down, because otherwise I would have fainted from shock. This means I can get everything done early and am assured a graduation in October.

WIN!

Now if this had been what the G.I. Joe movie was like, I would have been first in line to see it.

Thesis 2.0 has been sent to my committee chair with about 50% more tables.

If he doesn't like this version, I'm going to take up a pitchfork collection so I can gather a mob a la Frankenstein to storm his office. XD
