Irony is the Shackles of Youth

skylark97 sent me the most awesome thing ever. It's an entire stack of laminated and decorated index cards that have three different story prompts on each of them. There's sci-fi ones and fantasy ones. I am reading through and OMG, I want to write them all.

This was totally worth taking a detour to the apartment complex office to pick up. THANK YOU.

Okay, did anyone send me anything from Lulu.com?

I'm asking because I got a book from Lulu that I didn't order and with no packing slip to help me figure out why I got it. I checked my account, and no, I haven't ordered anything or had anything ordered for me. The only clue is that it is addressed to "TSAIKO S BIRTHDAY FUN TIMES (real first name here) GI" which leads me to believe that someone sent it to me for my birthday. This wouldn't be too surprising except... well... this is the book sent. Which I'm not sure I want to read unless someone gives me a reason why. Although I have to admit, I did laugh a bit at the "alien pornographers" mentioned in the blurb (click on the back cover to see)

Help me out here people. Did Lulu just cough up a random book? Did someone with my address send it to me? What's going on?

skylark97 I got your package today! Don't worry about having to get men's shoes. I have a hard enough time getting shoes my size. I didn't expect you to have any more luck, but you did manage to find shoes that fit. I love the socks and I love the notebooks. Thank you!

I also got a card from paisleyavenger. It's gorgeous.

Today was spent wrapping and shipping packages for my family. I am pooped. And still not done. o_O

Today I discovered that you cannot ship certain packages from the automatic kiosk. Looks like I'll be trekking over to the campus post office tomorrow to get these things off. I did manage to get Christmas stamps so I have my first batch of cards ready to go out. Yeah me!

I probably should wrap at least one more present tonight, but I don't wanna.

First day I'm back in Indiana, and there's at least an inch of snow on the ground. miome assures me it was sunny and mild while I was gone. I'm not sure I believe her.

In other news, our Christmas tree is up though it isn't decorated except for the lobster on top of it. We will probably be putting all the ornaments on sometime today or possibly next weekend.

I have part of my secret Santa's gift bought. Now I just need to find some other things to get him/her.

Today I need to at the very least get some of the Christmas cards done so I can get them out tomorrow.

Life is good, if busy.

I finally have free time and my urge to write has died. -_- I suspected this would happen. Give me a few days and it will come back.

I hope.

In brighter news, I have books. Thank you itlandm. The timing could not have been better.

My mom's package arrived today, so our trees looks very nice with all the presents underneath it.

I got maderr and rykaine's package, and the cookies you two sent are being slowly eaten as we speak (the stuff in the cartons will not be touched until tomorrow because I'm counting the cartons as wrapping and therefore they go under the tree until Christmas).

I also got mechante_fille package today. Next time I play Monopoly, I am so totally going to be the Triceratops. XD

Finally, I am formatting the last two stories to go up on my website as we speak. Once that's done, I will do an update for Christmas. Then I will pick through and put some more stuff up on Fictionpress.
