Dear Ancient Egypt,

Please do not give me ideas for mpreg. Norse mythology already has that covered.

Hugs and kisses,
Tsaiko

PS - Especially do not give me ideas for mpreg involving Set. He is my second favorite Egyptian god. If I find a story of Anubis getting knocked up, it will be all over and I will be forced to write.

Yes, I saw that. Because nothing says love and respect like sucking on your king's nipples. XD

I still think the funniest thing is that ancient Egyptians thought lettuce was an aphrodisiac and onions couldn't be eaten by priests because it might cause them to go crazy for sex.

Anubis would be great with the filled belly and all that it entails. Want to see their faces when they realise, not to mention the blow-*cough*-by-blow description of how it came *cough cough cough- allergies* about. That crocodile dung anti-pregnancy preparation just didn't work. Now for the fun of facing the family and each other.

*dies*

I'm getting a terrible idea about Anubis somehow getting tricked into joining a group of wandering musicians, which according to some of the sources I'm reading is what girls joined. They wandered around and slept with multiple partners to get pregnant and prove they were fertile. So Anubis joins up, sleeps with some guy, and winds up preggers. Heck, if they can have gods/goddesses being born when Ra masturbates then they can have a cranky, pregnant god of death.

The crocodile dung contraceptive kills me every time. You want me to put what where?

What happened to the kids of this proving of fertility? I know that inheritance was passed through the female line, which is convenient but I would think that the prospective husband would want his children to not have to compete for family resources/inheritance with a child not his. Still it's a nice way to diversify the gene pool.

You know, I could find no mention of what happened to children from these unions. I looked too. It might just be that no one knows what happened to them.

I do know that in Egypt each child was seen as a blessing and all were taken care of, even those with deformities (unlike the Greeks/Romans who would regularly leave unwanted/deformed children exposed to the elements). One would assume that they were provided for or at least mentioned in the marriage contract that was drawn up when the mother and her new husband married.

There is much love for Egypt smut going round! It brought to mind a friend who has a fondness for ancient Egypt and its gods as well. You might fancy her work.

Now, if I can coerce her to do more male x male...

Ancient Egyptian Sexuality (http://www.thekeep.org/~kunoichi/kunoichi/themestream/sexuality.html): scroll down to Horus and Set, though really it's all very eye opening.

Although I do have to admit to being disappointed she didn't mention the tomb that some think is of two male lovers buried together.

That story makes me laugh. I mean, wouldn't Set have noticed the WHITE stuff on his GREEN lettuce?

Though, the story I read of them having sex, it had Horus going crying to his mother afterwards and her using magic to take the semen out of his bowels (and, eww, that means Set ate poop-covered semen, ewww).

Norse mpreg

I can only see norse mpreg working if the male is shapeshifted to a four-legged animal and the offspring has eight legs :)

Which leads me to the frightening question... what mpreg did Norse mythology inspire you to write?

Who am I?
