You know, I could find no mention of what happened to children from these unions. I looked too. It might just be that no one knows what happened to them.
I do know that in Egypt each child was seen as a blessing and all were taken care of, even those with deformities (unlike the Greeks/Romans who would regularly leave unwanted/deformed children exposed to the elements). One would assume that they were provided for or at least mentioned in the marriage contract that was drawn up when the mother and her new husband married.
