So in case you hadn't heard, Indiana got almost a foot of rain over a 24 hr period on Saturday. This led to a great deal of flooding. Hell, we're suppose to get another 1-3 inches of rain tonight.
miome and I are fine even with the ponds around out apartment complex overflowing because we live on the second floor.
However, there are several roads washed out around town and I passed parking lots filled with mud and water this morning on the way to work. Heck, the place where I have do my internship smelled to high heaven because nearly a foot of water came into part of the building. They're going to rip up the carpet and have already started in on the drywall.
It's also been in the upper 80's, lower 90's temperature wise. That's nothing in NC, but in Indiana the people have a complete freak out when it gets in the 90's. With all the rain we've been having it's been a hot, muggy place around here.
At least my plants are growing like crazy. I have everything but the peppermint out on the balcony. The only reason the peppermint isn't outside is because I have to finish painting the pot it's going in and the last month of weekends its been either a) raining or b) windy. Neither of which will let me use the spray paint I have specifically for plastic.
