So in case you hadn't heard, Indiana got almost a foot of rain over a 24 hr period on Saturday. This led to a great deal of flooding. Hell, we're suppose to get another 1-3 inches of rain tonight. [livejournal.com profile] miome and I are fine even with the ponds around out apartment complex overflowing because we live on the second floor.

However, there are several roads washed out around town and I passed parking lots filled with mud and water this morning on the way to work. Heck, the place where I have do my internship smelled to high heaven because nearly a foot of water came into part of the building. They're going to rip up the carpet and have already started in on the drywall.

It's also been in the upper 80's, lower 90's temperature wise. That's nothing in NC, but in Indiana the people have a complete freak out when it gets in the 90's. With all the rain we've been having it's been a hot, muggy place around here.

At least my plants are growing like crazy. I have everything but the peppermint out on the balcony. The only reason the peppermint isn't outside is because I have to finish painting the pot it's going in and the last month of weekends its been either a) raining or b) windy. Neither of which will let me use the spray paint I have specifically for plastic.

\o/ AMEN!

They have this TV show, too, where a bunch of them live in a little house together, and these two English speaking girls come to live with them do to do a homestay and learn Korean. And none of them really speak English except one, so they basically just learn a handful of catchphrases from these girls, and then wander around addressing random foreigners with things like, "YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS!" It's amazing.

Okay, why is this show not on American TV? Because let me tell you this is a form of reality TV I would watch!

I DON'T KNOW. It also involves them cuddling each other a lot, touching each other a lot, playing tag, having fashion shows, and playing jokes on the lone Chinese member.

It's like that in Wisconsin too, esp right by the Dells. They seem to like to show the houses floating down the Wisconsin River and falling down the riverbanks on the news. Guess those people never figured on floodplains or the effects of building a house so close to a river. As we learned in hydro, every river has the capacity to flood and overtake its banks.

AND WHAT IS THIS ABOUT A KOREAN BOYBAND REALITY SHOW?? o__o

The Korean boy band in question (http://youtube.com/watch?v=cvwbPj3OowU). I've been told there's something like 50+ members (I can't tell them apart, really. It's just an entire band of cute). Supposedly they have a TV show. I think I may need to explore Youtube at some point to see if I can find it.

Yikes! Crazy weather.

When the ark goes by, you must check into the T. Rex controversy.

Stay safe and stock up on inflatables, chips and salsa-yay for emergency rations! ^__________^. Caught the news pics a couple of hours ago. The house splitting in half and dramatically sliding into the river makes for an interesting scene and makes me wonder about teh insurance policies.

Who am I?
