Witch King: Fragment, PG-13

tsaikoI swear, after this, I am going to work on my homework.
The dragons were having a fair to celebrate.... well, Amick wasn't sure what exactly they were celebrating. Maybe the harvest, though Kois seemed pretty adamant about wild magic roaming the earth in spirit form and how it needed to be placated. This seemed to involve a great deal of alcohol, acting like an idiot, and dressing up like a fool. Amick wasn't quite sure how this was supposed to placate wild magic, but then again he wasn't an expert in it.
"And what is the purpose of this?" Amick asked as he stopped in front of a booth. There were several large tubs full of water and various apples floating at the top.
"Bobbing for apples. Some of the apples have coins in them. Those with the most coins sink farther in the water and require you to hold your breath longer to retrieve." Suddenly the dragon was way to close, his breath warm against Amick's ear. "One has to be very skilled with their mouth to do it."
Amick rolled his eyes. "And people's clothing gets soaked and clings to them in the process. Yes, I'm sure it's very popular with couples. But what is the point?"
Nyx grinned.
"Besides proving that one is indeed skilled with their mouth?" Amick said tartly.
I just could not resist posting this fragment from the side story I'm writing.
