I am dissapoint, son. That recipe looked delicious. By regular pecan pie, do mean one made with Karo syrup, or are you going to try one made with maple? I'm on the fence about the whole maple in my pecan pie thing.
I'm going to try the one with the maple syrup in it. Strangely enough, the maple syrup/pecan part turned out fine. The chocolate is the part that doesn't go well with the pecans. Go figure.
Aww, too bad. I was hoping it would taste something like this (http://www.savannahcandy.com/product/Dark-Chocolate-Gophers/)...but in pie form. Because if that were the case, I would be making several and squirreling them away where the relatives wouldn't eat them all.
