Six people out in the field and I am the only one that somehow manages to wind up with mud all up the back of my pants leg. HOW? My shoes weren't even muddy!
I honestly shouldn't be too surprised. As I told the rest of the field crew, if there is a puddle, lake, stream, or river within a mile of where I am, I somehow always manage to fall or step in it. I should know better than to go anywhere in the field without a change of clothes. -_-
Sounds like someone kicked mud at you. *nods* Did you check everyone else's shoes?
Here, this will make you feel better, maybe: I was wearing a button-front shirt today. Went into a co-worker's office with a student worker, introduced them and then stepped back, throwing my shoulder back as I did so... and opening the buttons of my shirt. No idea how I managed it. I tried to recreate it later, to no avail.
I had a coworker stretch in a shirt and shoot a button across the room in the process. We all just sat there in stunned silence until she said "Well darn. My husband was right. This shirt is too tight."
