Today I filled out my census form for myself and [livejournal.com profile] miome. At least for the next 10 years, I'll count for something. Although I admit, I kind of wish the amount of funding I represent was going to a much cooler state for the next 10 years instead of Virginia.

The last time the census was taken, I would have been counted when my mom filled out her Census. This is a first for me. And given how much I use Census data, I am unreasonably excited about this.

Did you fill out the part that says how many giant mechas there are in your household? I can't find it on mine. *Hmmms*

I was a little disappointed at the lack of about rainbow unicorns. Or about my favorite type of dinosaurs. Because I think that the Census should definitely be collecting information about the popularity of dinosaurs.

I'm curious how you categorized your relationship, but feel it is way to rude to actually ask. So I'll just leave that hanging in case you felt like saying.

Otherwise, please do elaborate on the favorite dinosaur, sparkly unicorns and basement mecha questions. They are very important, after all.

"Unmarried partner" was the option I chose. Because it's true. And since Washington, DC has no residency requirements for marriage and allows same-sex marriage, by the time the next Census rolls around I'll be checking the "married" option. XD

^_^ I only ask because I read that they were encouraging same sex couples to answer what they consider themselves, rather than what their legal status is, so if they consider themselves married, to check that option. But I don't know if that changes things for you anyway. With the real thing looming in the distance, why settle for pretend?

Congrats on your engagement. Or the upgrade to having somewhat of a plan, anyway. *glomps*

Who am I?
