Bleck. Heaven forbid I want something green in my diet. -_-
I do have to laugh though because one of the grad students is working on "food deserts" which are areas in cities that do not have traditional grocery stores, causing people to have to turn to things like convenience stores for food. The theory is that this in turn leads to obesity because they don't have as wide a food selection.
I'm beginning to think I'm moving into a food desert because I'm sure not seeing a grocery store in the area using Google.
Weirdly, I seem to live in a 7-11 desert. There is a convenience store, I guess, but it's tiny and has a very poor selection (the one time I went in for milk it only had 500mL cartons).
There are a lot of Chinese grocers and a couple of supermarkets within walking distance, if don't mind walking for 15 minutes carrying your shopping.
