Yes, KML files can contain both points and lines in the same file. And yes, that KML does contain points. However, *waves hand* those are not the points that you are looking for.
Really. I'm not making it up. That data is not in these files. I can import, convert, project, and screw around with it all day long. It will not make the data appear.
