Got a call from a recruiter about a position. Unfortunately, it was located in Florida, which is a no go. At least I'm getting calls though!

Also, having dyslexia when dealing with numbers sucks. Though not as much as people giving you the wrong information in the first place. -_-

I know about the job search thing, I've updated my resume with the HAZWOPER certification and am poking about. But there's not really much, and I have to say I'm not interested in going to CA where it seems most of the jobs are listed. :/

Yeah, I'm getting lots of hits for California as well. No thanks. Strangely enough, I'd have a lot of options if I was willing to move to the MT/SD/ND/WY area. Which I'm not.

Have you tried http://www.usajobs.com/? It's where all the government jobs are posted including USGS, Bureau of Land Management, etc. I know there are several geology jobs up there.
