Thesis update

Pictures I took have been labeled, plants identified, and uploaded to the site. I found the missing images. All is good.

Next week I will start with the image analysis (or at least get it ready to go). I will also get those two databases to play nice or I will set something on fire.

Scheduling a meeting with two of my advisers, however, is like herding cats. Classes haven't even started yet! What the heck are you people doing?!?!

I'm thinking of making a thesis icon.

My thesis is on using high-resolutions satellite imagery to map aquatic plants (specifically those larger than algae) in small fresh water lakes. Basically, I'm seeing if it's feasible (yes), cost effective (probably not), and better than ground work (yes, but with limitations).

It's especially fun since I know squat about aquatic plants. It's been a real learn as you go kind of deal.
