Not as easy as it looks

I'm discovering that the biggest problem with writing a story about superheros is coming up with a code name that:

1) does not sound completely idiotic
2) has already been used
3) cannot be turned into some horrible pun
4) all of the above

I've got like two names. I need a team of... what? Five? Six? Seven?... superheros which means I need at least that many code names. Hell, I don't even have a good team name for these people yet. I've got two code names, two more characters without code names, and need several ideas for villains/misc. superheros names. I SUCK AT NAMES.

Wikipedia is my friend at this point.

Also, miome has pointed out that one of the names I've already picked can be turned into a truly horrendously bad joke. Of course, this would be the code name for the one character that I came up with years ago and am featuring in this story. Too bad. Not changing it.

Honestly, half the fun is that it sounds completely idiotic. I mean, Captain Cold? The Phantom Stranger? Pretty much the entire Legion of Super Heroes?

If you just pick a name unabashedly aware of its ridiculousness, I think you'll do fine.
