Overheard in the library

I was telling miome about this phone conversation I heard in the library while waiting for the map to not print. I really wish I could have heard the other side of the conversation. Maybe then it would have made more sense.

Guy on phone: *in a furious whisper* No, I don't think the incident last week has anything to do with my superpowers. *pause* I'm not paranoid. I'm trying to keep people from finding out. *longer pause* Hold on a second. Let me go somewhere where there's not a lot of people.

Perhaps the "superpowers" in questions involve being able to digest large quantities of alcohol without being too inebriated. Clearly, he has lost his powers at the last frat party and he doesn't want people to find out and challenge him to drinking games.
