Surpised I am.

Today one of my professors told me that I should do a series of maps, print them out on a nice printer, and make a portfolio of them to show potential employers. According to him, my design skills were very good and something I should use as a selling point when in the job market. He said he'd even be willing to give me some help in doing it.

I guess I'm so surprised because I just don't see myself as being very good at design. I usually have to beat my head against it repeatedly to get something I'm happy with. It doesn't really come naturally, but I'm kind of happy that it is coming at all.

Yay! Maybe it takes you so long because you have such a great eye? And, with more and more practice, putting stuffs were you want them will be a faster thing.
