[livejournal.com profile] ravensghost asked "What ever happened to that romance writer and his dragon?" Huh. Was there any more to be written on that story? I opened it up, reread the story, and wrote a few idle questions I came up with in a document. One really struck me.

Why is it called Wyvern's Rest?

WHUMP! Attacked by plot bunnies. I wrote a snippet and then saw the train wreck coming. It promises to be interesting.

Trouble walked into town wearing skintight blue jeans, a leather jacket and a pair of cowboy boots. His real name was Nicor, but the last person to call him that to his face had earned a bloody nose and a black eye. From that point on, everyone in town had called him Trouble. The nickname had stuck. Ten years after he'd left, he still introduced himself as Trouble.

There wasn't a bus depot in Corel. The town simply wasn't big enough. Piketon did have a bus depot and that's where Trouble had gone to. From there he'd cut over the ridge, picked up one of the hiking trails, and had hit the main road about an hour ago. It wouldn't be much longer before he was in Corel.

Before he was home.

He'd tried leaving, but instincts could only be fought for so long. This was home. No matter where he went or how long he stayed, his internal compass always pointed to Corel. Or more accurately, to a single pipe under a bridge that lead to what had once been his lair before he'd given away all his treasure and moved on.

With any luck, the rip between worlds was still there and he could just move right back in like he'd never left.

Yeah dude. I wouldn't bet on it. XD

I know, but I can't help it! This was just too priceless not to share. I can't wait till I get home because I am going to write Trouble and Drake meeting. It will not be good. Two growly, territorial dragons in one tiny town.

And wait till you meet Trouble's handler love interest.

And it was appreciated, because I was absolutely stuck. Sometimes all I need is a good, swift kick. ^^

Yay!!!!! I reread Writing Fairytales, and loved it just as much on this read-through as I did on the last. I can't wait to see what you do with Trouble. ^_^

I reread Writing Fairytales, and I think it has some huge plotholes in it. But I'm not about to retouch it because it wouldn't be the same story if I did. Since others like it, I'll leave it alone.

I can't wait to see where Trouble leads me. XD

Who am I?
