Angel Food Cake

Note to self:

When you want to make a cake next time, try Angel Food Cake. Instead of strawberries for the glaze, try subsituting frozen blueberries or raspberries.

I love Angel Food Cake. Though, I have to say, I'm a little freaked by the furrow and glaze and such. I just like the cake. Maybe a little chocolate frosting, or sugared strawberries, but otherwise just plain.^_^

I like just the cake, but I always think Angel Food needs a little something. So I was pleased with the furrow and glaze. I just need to use something other than strawberries because I dislike strawberries.

One day I'm going to make alternating angel food and devil food cupcakes. Maybe with white frosting on the angel and red on the devil. XD

I love Cooking for Engineers. I've done a couple of their recipes, and they turned out very well. Besides which, I enjoy his explanations for a lot of what goes on in the kitchen. I'd rather have someone explain why I do something than be told just to do it (though I follow recipes well and can experiment with good results on a limited basis).
