miome is here at the apartment, if you were wondering why I suddenly dropped off. The cats survived the trip and seem to be settling in just fine. They especially love the sliding glass door leading to the balcony. I imagine to them it's like having a wall sized TV.
The movers seemed to think that Wed. was going to be when our stuff would be here. We shall see.
Somewhat off-the-wall, but do cats generally handle moving well? We're considering moving here in a few weeks, not very far, just somewhere in town, and we would be bringing 2 of our cats with us, and leaving the other two to keep Scott's grandma company.
Reason I ask is my cat, Special Kitty (who we will be leaving behind), came down here with me from Ohio, and when she got down here, she started acting mean and bitchy, and the vet seems to think maybe moving caused some trauma. We've moved across town before with Niblet, one of the two that will be coming with us, but her son has lived in this one house his whole life so far, and I'm worried he might end up the same as Skitty when we move. ;x Granted, we're only moving like 5 minutes away instead of 6 hours, but you never know.
Cats will tolerate being moved, but I don't know about well. mostly it depends on how you move them, how you introduce them to the environment, and the personality of the cat. Our cats have been moved before, so they are kind of use to it. Still traumatized for the first few days (Kira gets massive dandruff and over grooms), but they recover.
A five minute move should be nothing. I wouldn't worry too much.
I thought you might find this (http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/generic/78ae/) amusing, if you haven't already seen it, seeing as you wrote the STFU stories, which were lovely.
