I still smell like Orange Clean even four hours after I cleaned the bathrooms. Ugh. I'm tired and cranky and right about now hate every single piece of stuff I own with the exceptions of my laptop and kitties. Although you don't actually own kitties. You are owned by them.

The cats, bless their hearts, have decided that if I'm up in my room packing that's where they'll be as well. One is curled up on my now cleared bed and the other is snoozing on some of the packing paper on my floor. Kitties are love.

I am seriously debating whether to leave Sat. or Sun. Given that we have an apartment lined up for Monday, leaving Sunday would mean that I only have to spend one night in a hotel. It's a 12 hour drive though, and that's not stopping for meal breaks. It would be much easier on me if I broke that up into two days and not try to do it in one. That'll also give me some wiggle room should my car decide to be cranky.

Decisions, decisions.

Still want to take miome with me. Maybe if I tie her to the top of the car...

Good luck with your decision... I would probably decide two days of driving. Just to be safe. But I totally understand you not wanting to pay another hotel night, or be away from your girlie and extra night. Yeah, leave the day early, but with her tied to the roof. Excellent compromise.^_^

In my experience most people don't allow themselves enough time and plan well enough in advance, and one of the things you can do to reduce stress and help with being prepared is to allow yourself *lots* of extra time. If I were in your shoes, I'd take the 2-day option and enjoy relaxing in a hotel somebody else has to clean up.

Also: 12 hours on the road? Holy freaking moly, if you can break that up in places totally do so with extreme prejudice.

Yeah, the more I thought about it the more two days of driving seemed like a better idea. I'm probably going to leave after lunch on Saturday, drive till I'm tired, stop and then go the rest of the day on Sunday.
