Joke's on me
Tuesday, June 26th, 2007 06:05 pmI had been joking with all my friends in NC about whether or not my car would make it to Indianapolis. I told them "If it makes it to Indy, that'll be the last place it sees because I'm getting a new one before I move again."
Today my words almost came true. My car decided to die on me in the middle of an intersection. One minute it was happily running. The next it was dead. It's like my car went "You know this whole going thing? I'm tired of it. Let's try not running." And then it stopped.
After much cursing, praying to any deity that would listen, and the thought that I'd totally sacrifice a chicken if I had one to get this damn car running, I got it started. I think that my car no longer likes to have the AC and the engine running at the same time. That poses a problem considering it's the middle of the summer.
At least I got it going again. If my car had died, I would have been screwed. It seems to be running fine now. I went to the store and had no issue with it. Not even a strange noise.
I swear it's playing mind games.
In other news, I got a glasses repair kit at the store only to find out that none of the screws fit my glasses. This means I cannot put the nose piece back on my glasses. Bugger.
It has not been a good day.
