Doctor's Appointment
Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007 07:47 pmWhat I learned today from the doctor's appointment:
I'm fat (excuse me "over weight").
I have elevated blood pressure.
I have elevated blood sugar.
What I did not learn today from the doctor's appointment:
Why I'm tired all the time.
Yeah, I'm beginning to remember why I disliked going to the doctors. They're going to run tests and will get back to be with the results. I also have a sample pack of... something that might help me sleep more solid at night in case that is the problem. I don't think it is, but I'm willing to try anything.
The lady who drew my blood (not the doctor) had the hardest time finding a vein. That's really interesting because I have never, ever had anyone have problem finding a vein on me. In fact, they are usually happy because my veins are really easy to spot. I got the impression she was new and not quite sure of what she was doing. This came from the fact that it took her 30 minutes to put me into their system and one of the receptionists had to go back afterwards and correct everything. Nice.
I go back tomorrow morning so they can check my blood sugar one more time. Then it's wait for the tests and go back next month for a follow-up.
