I love free time.
Tuesday, January 9th, 2007 07:04 amI am one of those people who needs a lot of unstructured downtime to deal with everything. I usually am productive during the downtime (if you call playing video games and writing smut productive). I just need to have at least two weekends a month with nothing planned. I need several nights a week with nothing planned. When I don't get that my emotional stability suffers, my motivation to do anything suffers, and my writing suffers. Now that I am not taking night classes, I get that. I don't have to cram all my unstructured time into the weekends.
The writing. It has started.
I'm a little less than half way through the Young Avengers fic I'm writing. That seems to be what I'm working on most right now, with Digimon (oh god, will this fandom ever die for me?!?!) and original stuff mixed in though that's going slower. I am writing it by hand and will type it up.
One nice thing about my hand writing, is that one page in print on college rule paper is about equal to one typed page if I put spaces between paragraphs. That's how I format stuff I'm going to eventually put on the web. If I write it in cursive, one page is equal to a little over one page without spaces between paragraphs typed. It's a great conversion method.
Speaking of writing, I think I'll do some before I have to finish getting ready to go to work.
