My reaction to the ending of Robin McKinley's Chalice?

I'm covered in BEES!

That being said, I did enjoy both the characterization, world building and writing of the book. And the dialogue between Mirasol and the Master? Absolutely brilliant. They really were so very awkward around each other.

But that ending...

I was actually really disappointed with Chalice. I felt that it was repetitive and dragged on a little too much, but I do agree that the parts with both Mirasol and the Master were the best.
