So this Tropical Storm called Alberto moved through the area, flooded several roads, closed down the local mall and caused hundreds of accidents. Did I see any of this? Nope! I wish my commute home was always that easy. o_O

Also, this morning, I saw a "Republicans for Voldemort" bumper sticker.

Good vibes to everyone else who got dumped on by the rain.

I work in a building across the street from Crabtree Mall. I wish I had had my camera with me to take pictures of the few vehicles that were left in the parking lot after the creek rose.

I wasn't at all surprised. Crabtree is built on a five year flood plain. Some years all it takes is someone pissing in the creek for it to flood. Although from what I understand it wasn't so much the creek at first as the drainage in the parking decks backing up.

Still I would have loved to have seen those pictures.

Apparently my psychic umbrella was up, 'cause I got very few good vibes today. Of course, I wasn't dumped on by the rain, either, which may have something to do with it.

By the way, the area around the intersection of Wake Forest and Six Forks is still under water...
