Oh, poor you! We love them dearly, but sometimes... For us today, it was 'pet me instead of paying bills,' which was a fabulous idea all around, so...

I was doing yoga once when my cat was still a new kitten. I had gotten to the meditation and he came up and started mewing at me and then pounced on my face.

I was napping on my couch with my hotdog tucked up by my feet at the other end of the couch, only to wake up later to find him sitting on my chest, his cold wet nose just inches from my face and staring at me. Don't know what he had planned but its a good thing he moves fast because he nearly got beaned with a pillow! Talk about a wake up! :-)

One of my mom's cats, Xana (aka Queen Lord Ruler of the Universe) would lay down on whatever you were working on. Because obviously, she was more important than newspapers, books, assignments, etc.

The cat did survive. She didn't want to be rubbed or anything. She just wanted me up. -_-

My mom had a cat that would do that. Only if the staring didn't wake you up, she would resort to drooling. There is nothing quite like kitty drool to get you up at 6am. -_-
