Talking with the girlfriend

Tsaiko: I'm going to bed.
Miome: Okay.
Tsaiko: You staying up or coming up with me?
Miome: I think I'll stay up...
Tsaiko: Okay.
Miome: ... unless you want me to lay down with you until you fall asleep?

This is because I go to bed fairly early still and Miome is obsessed with CFUD. However, I now know "Do you want me to lay down with you until you fall asleep" is girlfriend talk for "I'm really tired but too stubborn and/or obsorbed in something to admit it so I'll use you as an excuse to go to bed before 2am."

Girlfriend speak is hard to figure out but makes perfect sense when you do. As a woman, I instinctively know the correct answer to "Does this make me look fat?" I'm female. I have a cheat sheet.





Tsaiko: My cat knows that if she stands on me long enough and purrs she'll eventually get rubbed.
Miome: Yes, nothing grabs your attention quite like tiny paws standing on your bladder.



I love my girlfriend.
