Tsaiko & Miome Theatre: Two acts
Friday, September 5th, 2008 08:24 pmAct 1:
Scene - On the way home from campus, two buses pull up beside us at the light.
Tsaiko: Oh look. Football players.
Miome: Really?
Tsaiko: Yeah. *looks at the side of the bus* They're from... uh... um... a Catholic school.
Miome: Your mind went there. Perv.
Tsaiko: I can't help it!
Miome: They are too young!
Tsaiko: An entire bus full of Catholic school boys is sitting right next to me. I cannot resist that much temptation to think pervy thoughts.
Act 2:
Scene - Our downstairs neighbors moved out last weekend. We thought it was odd since they moved out themselves (no help, just two of them moving heavy furniture into a moving van they parked on the grass). A few days ago, we walked past their apartment and I noticed a piece of paper in their door knocker. A piece of paper with official looking seals. In other words, an eviction notice.
Tsaiko: No wonder they moved out so quickly. They knew they were getting evicted.
Miome: You seem way too thrilled to find that out.
Tsaiko: It's drama that I don't have to be involved in to appreciate.
Miome: Isn't there a word for the enjoyment of other people's misery?
Tsaiko: Entertainment?
