Work woes

You know, the Dept. Secretary laughed at me for going over to the student center last week and buying a very warm hoodie. It's August. It was over 90 degrees outside. And you know what? I swear I'm watching icicles forming on the ceiling of the graduate office. It's freezing in here. I've never been so glad to have a something to put on in my life.

Second, my internship is driving me insane. I warned them all summer that my classes started Aug. 20th and that I wouldn't be as available after that date. I told them that I would only be able to drive down there once a week after Aug. 20th, and that I would have to work less hours because of school work. Of course, after sitting on their butts for most of the summer they decide now, 1 month before the deadline, that they OMG DESPERATELY NEED ME TO COME IN ON THURSDAYS. Too bad. I have class. No, I don't care that it's an evening class. I am not driving for 3 hours on a day I have class. I have thesis work, homework, and readings to do. TOUGH. You knew about this for months. This is not a surprise. When I suggest coming in on Friday (which is also an inconvenience for me and I was being nice even suggesting it), do not act put out because you will be on vacation on that day. You're the one that decided to take 3 weeks of vacation during the last month of this project.

LACK OF PLANNING ON YOUR PART DOES NOT EQUAL AN EMERGENCY ON MINE.

Otherwise, life is busy. I am going to write another part of the minotaur/half-goblin story (which I am thinking about calling "The Odd Couple.") After that, there may be an additional part. After that... we shall see.

And now, more data entry for my thesis. The satellite has captured part of the study area. So I have something. Now if it'll just get the rest of the area in the next two weeks...

Who am I?
