Grumbly Tsaiko is grumbly.
Saturday, January 5th, 2008 10:33 amIf you've been reading this for awhile, you know that sometime in July the small pad that goes on the inside of the nose piece on my glasses came off. I found the pad, lost it, and found it again. I went and got a small eyeglass repair kit only to discover that none of the screws included were the right size. I've been wearing the glasses sans one nose pad for months with no issues.
However, during the winter I also wear hats. This causes my glasses to bump against my nose more, which in turn proceeded to dig the padless side of the nose piece into the side of my nose. In less than a week I developed a nasty blister. I stopped wearing the hat, but the damage was done. It was extremely uncomfortable for me to wear my glasses.
This is sort of a problem because without my glasses, I can't do anything. No seriously. I can't even type on my laptop because the screen is too far for me to see the letters clearly. The only way I can now wear my glasses is if I put a bandaid across my nose to protect the blistered part.
As you can imagine, this looks ridiculous.
I am NOT PLEASED and will hopefully convince some nice place to FIX MY GLASSES FOR ME. I really cannot afford new glasses right now. Besides which, this prescription is still good and I don't want to get new glasses. I JUST WANT MY OLD ONES FIXED.
RAR!
