One of my classes just got canceled, two days before classes start. I want to say again that the head of my program is wonderful. He let me know about the class getting canceled before it showed up in registration and gave me two options on other classes. Only problem? Now all my classes won't be on Wed. and the class I really should opt for is on Monday evenings. Poo.

Meme Sheep time
Monday, August 20th, 2007 07:47 pmWRITER'S MEME: Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of the top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
In no particular order.
1) Spirit of Shinagami: Going back to my Gundam Wing days here. I love this story mostly because I always loved the idea of giving the Gundams themselves personalities. It seemed only natural to start with Deathsythe Hell. Doesn't hurt that I won an award for it. ^^
2) Rapunzal: Going back even further into my fandom days. This was my first fairytale retelling ever. I still secretly love this fic. I even had it used as part of someone's thesis project on trend of retold fairytales.
3) Losing Courage: This story was written over the course of one day at work. I think my author's notes basically sum up why I love it. It's a story about relationships that don't really work out and it's no one's fault. This is definitely one of my more subtle fics.
4) Ritter's Story Part 1, Part 2: This story started out as a writing exercise for me. I had just read the book >Holes by Louis Sachar and wanted to see if I could reproduce the style of writing past and present at the same time. Still need to finish it.
5) Knowledge is Power: This was one of my favorite stories to write and I always forget that I haven't completed it until I look at it again. I like how different it is when I write from Ken's point-of-view as opposed to the Emperor's POV. It was a challenge and I like that. I feel bad that I never got around to writing more on it. Someday...
