Irony is the Shackles of Youth

I will swear up, down, and sideways I've already posted some of this, but darn if I can find it in my memories. I probably forgot to put it there. Anyway, new first part and some more on the second. I have a really humorous scene later on that I'm working on and wanted to point this out so others would know what the heck I was talking about.

You know, one of these days, I am going to go through and tag all my entries. And then I'm going to fall over and die from the overdose of OCD.

Class got out early, so I was able to get this finished. It's completely un-betaed, which I've noticed is usually not a good thing. I went back through some of the unrevised parts of this story and good lord, it's a wonder people don't think English is a second language for me. Sorry about that.

Poor Osmond. His body knows what it wants, but his culture has told him that he doesn't want that. I feel sorry for him.

I'm doing these slightly out of order. It really depends on what I feel like writing. And since I haven't had the urge to write in awhile, I'm not going to try and make it do something it doesn't want to.

A bunch of story fragments from different files. I'll have <2 pages of a story (or sometimes just a paragraph or two) and I'll realize its not close enough to what I see in my head. Or the characters aren't right. Or I just forget where I was going with it. Or I wander off to something more interesting/cohesive. So here are some fragments.

Please do not give me ideas for mpreg. Norse mythology already has that covered.

PS - Especially do not give me ideas for mpreg involving Set. He is my second favorite Egyptian god. If I find a story of Anubis getting knocked up, it will be all over and I will be forced to write.

Okay. So I took the drabbles from here, cleaned them up, put them in order and added two more scenes. I've almost got a complete story going. Anything else people want to see added to this? It's at 3,400 words and I think I want to get it up to 5,000 before I call it quits.

As always, all suggestions are sacrificed at the altar of my muses and those that please them get written.

Two nights ago it was warm in the apartment. When it's warm at night, I tend to remember my dreams more. I also tend to wake up, go back to sleep, and have multiple dreams that I remember. I only vaguely remember the first dream. There was a demon, a cave, a priest, and some yaoi involved. The clearest thing I remember was one villager turning to the priest and apropos of nothing saying "Remember the time (blank) slept with that guy to get him to stop calling us?" I don't remember the name he said, so I'm going to call him Kevin. It was so completely random (there were no phones and no technology in this world) that it stuck in my mind.

Obviously, it stuck in my mind so much that when I woke up and went back to sleep, I had a dream explaining that line.

miome said, after I told her the dream, that wouldn't it be funny if Kevin and crazy guy started dating? Of course my mind gave me a continuation of the dream plot where that did happen. But I'll leave it up to your imagination how. XD

I have persevered. Chapter 4 is done. Granted I haven't reread through the last half for mistakes, so there are probably at least a dozen. But it's done! I'm pretty sure I'm only going to have one more chapter of the Witch King series (in which questions will be answered). Then I'll move on to the Wild Witch series. Tomorrow I'll see about html-ing and doing a site update. Also there's a bonus muse theater after the lj cut. XD

Amick: No you're not. You've been waiting for this moment for the last two chapters.
Tsaiko: You have to admit, it gives a whole new meaning to the term "blue balls."
Amick: *incredulous* It's on my balls as well?
Tsaiko: *cracks up laughing again*
Amick: I hate you so much at this moment.

I absolutely love this story.

On the soap opera "As the World Turns," there is a teenage gay couple. Viewers are upset. No, not because the two were shown kissing back in September or even that they are together. No. Viewers are upset because the two boys in question haven't been kissing enough since they declared their love for each other.

This almost makes me want to start watching soap operas.

I think when I get done with all of these, I'm going to put them into some semblance of chronological order. It seems like there should be enough for a complete story.

This is one of my story ideas that has seriously been with me for over 15 years. When I was about 13, I saw a very large and very gaudy rug in a flea market in NC. It depicted a man in loose robes on a white horse with his arm around a woman in many veils who was in front of him on the horse. Two other men on horses (one black, one brown) and heavily armed rode beside him. In the background was a large, vaguely Middle Eastern tower with an open window and a walled garden.

I was so intrigued by the rug that I came up with a story to explain what was going on. Then man on the white horse was kidnapping the woman in the veils to be his bride. The two men with him were there as escort. Obviously, the woman was in love with him but her father didn't approve. It was all very romantic.

I still love the basic idea and have started quite a few stories with the premise. So far, the fragment is my favorite version. ^^
