Holy shit, how did I never notice that the announcer for Voltron is the voice of Optimus Prime?!?!

EDIT: miome and I didn't even make it through one episode of Voltron before we turned it off. Man, when you're a kid, just about anything is awesome. It was terrible, especially the voice acting. I should have known though. My attempts at watching old episodes of Thundercats should have been warning enough.

We watched an episode of Voltron when it was free on PSN last year, and oh my god it was awful. The plot was nonsensical, there was exposition narrator guy, and the voice acting (Sven's accent!) was atrocious.

I'd like to see GoLion, though.

Hurts, doesn't it. I tried that one, too, and failed. I also couldn't make it through more than one episode of the first Transformer series. The animated movie is still pretty good, though.

My kids love the Thundercats, btw, so, yeah. Things seem much more awesome when you're young. *G*

Heh, yeah. I don't know how Mikey sits through them. We have DVD sets for Voltron, Thundercats, and He-Man & She-Ra... I can't watch more than one episode at a time. And part of that on fast-forward. x_x

Ah well, they can remain bright in my memory. ^__^

Watching Thundercats as an adult was somewhat traumatizing. I'm still not sure which was worse: Thundercats or He-Man. I'm talking old school He-Man. The reboot was pretty good. The old show almost made me cry. So bad. ;.;

There's a reason people snerk when they mention Sven from Voltron. ;)
