Working on my website tonight, though nothing has been updated yet. Basically I'm reformatting the stories up on my ancient Geocities site so it can be put with the rest of my stuff. I just found the very first fanfic I ever wrote. The date?

I wrote a lot before then, but 1998 was my first foray into fanfiction. Not that I didn't have massive AU Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle stories before that (think 92-93). But I never wrote them down (thank goodness).

That reminds me that the first time I seriously started getting online and "discovered" fandom was something like late '97-early '98.

So yeah, while I'm no writer myself, I'll still be joining that grave along with you. :O

I actually stumbled across fandom in '95 or '96. It was only in passing and I didn't contribute anything. I only got really involved in '97.

As I told someone else, we're going to have a fandom graveyard before too long. Either that, or fandom zombies. BACK FROM THE GRAVE.

I'm such a n00b in comparison. I discovered fanfiction in 2003. But then, I didn't really get how people could spend so much time online before then, either...

I wrote my first piece of fanfic (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/118416/1/Return_to_the_Planet) in early high school, which much have been in the very late 1990s. I'm less dead, though, than retired from random. I don't do much in it anymore, though I sorta wish I did.
