I just saw a yellow and green budgie at the bird feeder on my porch.

Considering that I live in the Washinton, DC area, this is not normal.

It came north to escape the tropical storm in Florida? *grins* So nice of you to put out the shingle of your small bird restaurant.

Actually, we had some severe weather go through here so now I'm wondering if it escaped during that. It could explain why it's only now showing up.

Little did I know I'd become the all you can eat buffet for escaped pets. -_-

Ahaha! Oops. XD

It's amazing the places where they can survive, I'm pretty sure they're originally a desert species.

They live wild where my parents are in reasonably-remote Western Australia, so yeah, desert or very-dry areas sounds pretty accurate. :D

In other words, impressive!

Hello fellow Aussie! I need to visit WA sometime, it looks so pretty over there.

WA is gorgeous - but I must admit I haven't seen much of the east! Only the Sunshine Coast in QLD (plus Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne).

Anyway, I live in Canada now! Which is an entirely different kind of pretty.

Pah, coast, coast is boring. Well, okay, coastal areas are often pretty as well, but they do tend to steal the limelight from the rest of the continent.

My cousin is currently in Canada as well, and driving her mother to despair because she keeps extending her visa. It does sound like a very nice country, if rather cold at times. :)

Huh. Then again, we currently have swarms of escaped parakeets living out in the wild, that's not normal either.

I approve of your icon choice :D

Who am I?
